Abstract:Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a chronic, progressive eye disorder that mainly affects people over the age of 50, not only influences vision function of elder people, but also affects social function, emotion and mood. Quality of life is a comprehensive evaluation of disease and treatment on a patient’s physiology, psychology and social life. It is extremely important for a comprehensive understanding of AMD. This paper reviews the results of recent studies on the AMD on quality of life.
