AIM:To analyze and evaluate the clinical curative effect of vitamin and Fuming tablet, shezhu mingmu eye drops in the treatment of early senile cataract. METHODS:Totally 118 outpatients (184 eyes) with early senile cataract were randomly divided into the observation group and control group.The observation group was given Fuming tablet and mingmu eye drops to treat, while the control group was given vitamin and Katalin eye drops for treatment.The observation group and control group were treated continuously for three months.In the 3-6 months, clinical efficacy was statistically analysed and evaluated. RESULTS:In the observation group of 98 eyes, visual acuity(VA) could be improved in 90 eyes, the total efficiency was 918%. In the control group of 86 eyes, VA could be improved in 38 eyes, the total efficiency was 442%. The total efficiency was an extremely significant difference between two groups of patients (P<0.01), with statistical significance. After treatment of 3-6 months, drug efficacy was evaluated, the contrast sensitivity of low frequency (1.5c/d) can be effectively improved in observation group, while it was not obvious in the control group. Compared two groups differed significantly (P<0.05), with the statistical significance. CONCLUSION:The combined application of Fuming tablet and mingmu eye drops in the treatment of early senile cataract has satisfactory clinical effect on the VA and CS of early senile cataract patients.
