Abstract:

AIM:To study the expressions of toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)and CD14 in lens epithelial cell(LEC). METHODS:The expressions of TLR4mRNA and CD14mRNA were detected by one-step polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with reverse transcription (RT-PCR) in cultured LEC. RESULTS: The amplified clear bands of 451bp and 348bp were obtained respectively via RT-PCR, which were confirmed to be TLR4mRNA and CD14mRNA by means of gene sequence analysis. CONCLUSION: There are expressions of TLR4 and CD14 in LEC.
