Abstract:

With the new vision that diabetic retinopathy(DR) is an inflammatory disease was proposed, many researches have proved that inflammatory cytokines expressed abnormally in DR, and have close associations with the breakdown of blood-retinal barrier(BRB) and neovascularization of DR. Now we review the research progresses of inflammatory cytokines associated with DR.
