    Abstract:

    ·AIM:To analyze the cataract incision closed form and endophthalmitis occurrence relationship.·METHODS:Cataract surgery in 5139 eyes in 2001-01/2007-12,were extracted by comparing the surgical incision(scleral tunnel)size(3.5-7.0mm)and closed form(self-closed,a needle stitching,double needle stitching)and the incidence of endophthalmitis.·RESULTS:Of cataract surgery in 5139 eyes,endophthal-mitis occurred in 10 eyes,the rate was 0.54%-0,mean 0.28%.·CONCLUSION:Cataract surgery incision closed form and the incidence of endophthalmitis was significantly related.To effectively close the incision can reduce or avoid the occurrence of endophthalmitis.·
