    Abstract:

Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) associated with choroidal detachment (CD) is a serious and unusual type of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Without prompt management, the prognosis could be worse due to rapid massive vitreous and periretinal proliferation. At present, the underlying etiology, pathogenesis and treatment are poorly elucidated, and studies both at home and abroad are mainly concentrated on its treatment. This article will review its etiology, pathogenesis and treatment in order to further understand RRD associated with CD, and provide valuable theory basis for the clinical oculists.
