    Abstract:

    AIM:To investigate a simple and effective method for ruptured lacrimal canaliculi.METHODS:Self-made No.7 blunt epidural spinal needle as a catheter,dental 0.2mm ligation as a needle core wire,silicone tube as scaffold were applied on the ruptured lacrimal canaliculi.RESULTS: Two to three months after operation,extubation was performed,28 patients with ruptured lacrimal canaliculi were successful anastomosis.24 patients were unobstructed of lacrimal passages,4 patients were hindrance of lacrimal passages,1 patients were obstructed of lacrimal passages.CONCLUSION:Silicone tube can be used as the scaffold in canalicular anastomosis with cheaper and more convenient and simpler operation in primary hospitals.
