    Abstract:

The development of molecular biology has thrown new light on the treatment of retinitis pigmentosa. We reviewed the progress of brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF) and iris pigment epithelial(IPE) cells in the treatment of retinal pigment degeneration.Combination of neurotrophic factors, transgene and transplantation technology is a promising way to treat retinitis pigmentosa.
