    Abstract:

AIM:To evaluate the therapeutic effects of small incision non-phacoemulsification cataract extraction and IOL implantation and trabeculectomy (triple operation).METHODS:Triple operation on 43 cases 46 eyes with glaucoma and cataract was analyzed retrospectively.Visual acuity, intraocular pressure(IOP),filtration state and postoperative complication were observed.RESULTS:Postoperative visual acuities were improved.Postoperative IOP:11.04-19.08mmHg,the mean postopera-tive IOP:14.05±3.24mmHg.3 cases 3 eyes IOP were about 25mmHg postoperatively and could be controled in normal range by 5g/L timolol.38 eyes had the functional filtering bleb (including Ⅰand Ⅱ type). All cases had no severe complications.CONCLUSION:The triple operation with small incision non-phacoemulsification cataract extraction and IOL im-plantation and trabeculectomy may effectively control IOP and improve visual acuity.Triple operation is an effective and safe method for cataract patients with glaucoma.
