Abstract:AIM:To investigate the eye condition between navy and land forces and explore the influence of different training environments on eye condition.METHODS:A total of 185 navy soldiers and 198 land forces soldiers were tested detailedly by ophthalmological examination.RESULTS:The difference of unqualified rate of visual acuity between navy and land forces was statistically significant(P<0.01).The differences of incidence of chronic bacteroidal conjunctivitis(P<0.01) and trachoma(P<0.01) between two groups were statistically sig-nificant.CONCLUSION:It is necessary to take appropriate and effective measures on soldiers to keep their eyes healthy in different training and living environments.
