    Abstract:

    AIM:To observe and evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation for diabetics with cataract.METHODS:One hundred and forty-eight diabetics 164 eyes were treated with phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation to observe postoperative complications.RESULTS:Postoperative complications in diabetics with cataract underwent cataract surgery were more than those in non-diabetics.CONCLUSION:There are many postoperative complications in diabetics with cataract.Careful preoperative preparation and postoperative treatment are necessary.Stable blood sugar before and after operation is important.
