    Abstract:

    AIM:To observe the retrograde implantation of artificial nasolacrimal duct for chronic dacryocystitis.METHODS:Totally 64 eyes of 60 patients with chronic dacryocystitis underwent implantation of artificial nasolacrimal duct,and were followed up for 4 weeks to 6 months to observe the effect.RESULTS:Totally 64 eyes of 60 cases after the first planting tubes were successful,the patient recovered completely unobstructed,61 eyes of 57 cases were cured,3 eyes of 3 patients were improved.CONCLUSION:The retrograde implantation of artificial nasolacrimal duct for chronic dacryocystitis is a simple,economical,safe and effective method.
