    Abstract:

    AIM:To observe and discuss the contributory factors of high intraocular pressure (IOP),and the clinical signs for follow up.METHODS:Twenty-nine cases with high IOP were observed for IOP,vision field,optic disc and optic nerve fiber.These cases were followed up for 3-4 (mean 3.5) years.RESULTS:During the follow-up,the IOP of 25 cases had no change.The IOP in 2 cases went down,2 cases increased.CONCLUSION:Many factors may contribute to high IOP,the patients must be observed frequently.In case of suspected glaucoma changes,anti-glaucoma treatment should be actively pursued.
