AIM:To observe the clinical effect of avastin in treatment of recurrent pterygium.METHODS:Sixty-senven eyes were divided into two groups:one group (avastin group)was treated with subconjunctiva injection of avastin,the other group (laser group) was treated with the laser therapy.RESULTS:After 6 months follow-up,it showed that the inefficiency rate of the avastin group was 10%(3/31) and the laser group was 28%(10/36).There was significant difference between the two group (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Avastin therapy for treatment of recurrent pterygium is an effective and notable method.
