AIM:To evaluate the method and advantages of selfmade lacrimal probe in the treatment of infant dacryocystitis.METHODS:Totally 230 cases(245 eyes) with infant dacryocystitis who received three times unsuccessful lacrimal passage irrigation previously were performed probing of lacrimal passage with selfmade lacrimal probe.RESULTS:Probing of lacrimal passage with selfmade lacrimal probe was performed in 230 cases 1-5 times,and the cure rate was 99.2%.CONCLUSION:Selfmade lacrimal probe is an easy and effective method for the treatment of infant dacryocystitis.
