    Abstract:

AIM:To observe the treatment effect of two methods of hydroxyapatite(HA) implantation. METHODS: The clinical data of 26 patients with HA implantation were reviewed retrospectively from June 2007 to June 2011. HA were implanted into the muscle cone or into the muscle cone after the sclera. The mean follow-up time was 13 (ranged 3 to 24) months. RESULTS:Fifteen cases had good effect after operation, only 2 cases were exposure. The ocular movement and stability were satisfactory after operation. CONCLUSION:HA is the first choice for patients without eyeball, and HA implanted into the muscle cone after the sclera can obviously reduce the rate of exposure after operation.
