    Abstract:

    To evaluate the treatment of Azelastine eye drops in children with allergic conjunctivitis. METHODS:Thirty children patients(60 eyes) with allergic conjunctivitis were enrolled.A randomnized and controlled study was adopted including the control group and the test group.Symptoms and signs were evaluated before and after treatment. The control group used Hyaluronate eye drops and the test group was treated with Hyaluronate plus 0.05% Azelastine eye drops. RESULTS: The respective scores of all symptoms and signs in the control group were 4.60±0.87,4.72±1.53 and 2.53±1.45,2.40±1.20 before and after treatment, 4.72±0.77,5.29±1.46 and 1.47±1.48,1.59±1.12 for the test group.The effective rates in the control and test groups were 33% and 73%.There was significant difference between the control and test groups. CONCLUSION:Azelastine eye drops is effective and safe in the treatment of children patients with allergic conjunctivitis
