Retinalischemia-reperfusion model is thought to be a critical step in investigating its mechanism, prevention and treatment. A number of animal models and analytical techniques have been used to study retinal ischemia, but there is little quantitative investigation. This article assesses the various establishment methods of experimental retinal ischemia-reperfusion models and compares the different features of the models.
