    Abstract:

    AIM: To explore clinical effect and influence factors of upper eyelid blepharoplasty combined with levator aponeurosis plication in general anesthesia for mild congenital ptosis in children.

    METHODS: According to relevant data before operation 40 eyes of 37 cases of children with mild congenital ptosis were treated with upper eyelid blepharoplasty combined with levator aponeurosis plication in general anesthesia. The clinical data were recorded and analyzed, the effect was evaluated.

    RESULTS: In the 40 eyes of 37 cases, the satisfactory rate was 78%(31 eyes), 5 eyes(12%)were under-corrected, 1 eye(2%)was over corrected, 3 eyes(8%)were return to back.

    CONCLUSION: The effect is affirmative that upper eyelid blepharoplasty combined with levator aponeurosis plication in general anesthesia treated the mild congenital ptosis in children, it is one of main methods for treating mild congenial ptosis in children.
