Abstract:·Glutamate receptor can be divided into metabotropic receptor(mGluR)and ionotropic receptor(iGluR).The iGluR includes NMDA receptor and non-NMDA receptor.mGluR includes mGluR1 to mGluR8.They are mainly distributed in the central nervous system(CNS).They have an important role in synaptic plasticity, exitotoxicity of glutamate, protection and damage of neuron,long-term potentiation(LTP)and long-term depression(LTD),study and memory. The NMDA receptor is studied considerably in amblyopia. There are significant differences in quantity and activity between contrast group and amblyopia group.·
