AIM:To evaluate the effects and safety of surgery correction on 41 cases of aphakia.METHODS: Forty-one cases of aphakia selected from 2004 to 2009 in our hospital were corrected by posterior chamber secondary intraocular lens implantation. The effects and safety were observed (in 6 months’ follow-up).RESULTS: Good correction effect was achieved in all cases after operation. CONCLUSION: Posterior chamber secondary intraocular lens implantation is an effective, safe and feasible method for aphakia without serious complications.
