AIM:To analyze and reveal the reseaching hot topics of diabetic retinopathy (DR),the trend of published DR related articles and focal points between different countries and agencies in the world. ·METHODS:This study analyzed the number and trend of PubMed database adopted DR related articles between 1990-2010 by quantitative analysis. SPSS statistical software was used to cluster high frequency hot topics of published articles,and clustering relationship picture was drawn. ·RESULTS:Totally 11909 DR related articles were retrived,and there were 50 high frequency hot topics. Hot topics were clustered into 10 categories. ·CONCLUSION:International DR related researching hot topics are mainly in the medicine therapy,complications and causation related epidemiological study. This study results provide important references for domestic scholars in DR correlated scientific study and clinic therapy.
